The holiday is in its closing stages. In Lesson 23 we head over to the airport. Our European Portuguese dialog in this lesson revolves around checking in to our flight.

Ma – Impossível…pesámos antes de sair do hotel.
Mi – Pois acredito, mas está um quilo e meio acima do limite.
Ma – Só!? Ó amigo não seja por isso! Deixe estar que eu levo estes dois livros na mão. Pronto, resolvido!
Mi – Como desejar. O embarque é às dezoito e quarenta e cinco na porta doze. Muito Obrigado e boa viagem.
C – Obrigada nós. Tenha um bom dia.

Hi Verena, sorry for the really late reply. We’ve been crazy busy building our new online program. Anyway…
We use it when wanting the express the idea of a 50% 50% multiple choice situation. “if it’s not male is female” sort of idea.
